Duke Lacrosse player Ryan McFadyen, one of the players allegedly involved in the gang rape of a stripper, is a pretty smart guy. Smart enough to send out a sick, sick e-mail to all his meathead buddies a day after the alleged rape took place.

Let me preface this with a big [SIC]. Apparently they don't teach spelling or grammar at Duke.

On CNN the other night, they showed a clip of some college girl who was friends with the Duke players saying their was no way they could have done it because they were "good Christian boys." Brilliant.

On Saturday, as part of Noise Pop, I sat on a panel at Indie Night School, New Yorker Tom Sean's musical education series. The panel was "How to Get Your Music Reviewed." I made various random comments, and apparently talked some smack about jam bands. A lot o f people came up to me after the show and told me I "kept it real up there," which I think was a euphemism for "sounded like an asshole up there." It was fun, kind of weird, I was nervous and babbled. I got to meet Kimberly Chun of The Guardian, so that was cool.
