Pati Poblete

Big Nurse yelled at me over the weekend because I don't blog anymore. Well, here you go. I've been tossing around the idea of starting a zine call Suck Francisco about all the things I hate about this City. In it, I'd like to feature some of the horrible writing that I constantly find in local publications (yeah, I know, those who live in glass houses...).

Today's spotlight is on the Chronicle's Pati Poblete, whose column covers all the hard hitting events of the day... you know, things like her Myspace account, and Katie Couric:

"YOU'LL HAVE to excuse me. Recent events have left me a bit despondent and rather anxious for Katie Couric's return to television. It seems so long ago when the former co-host for the "Today Show" announced she would be the new "CBS Evening News" anchor -- making her the first female solo anchor of a major evening television network newscast in the United States, thankyouverymuch.[sic]"

Garbage media is a problem all over.

So where's the good writing out there that folks are missing?
