There was, I shit you not, an editorial in the San Francisco Chronicle yesterday in which the main point was summarized: "Here's hoping the Bay Area's next idol was among those crooning with the cows on Thursday."
In other Chronicle news, they're publishing a series of articles by Sean Penn about a recent trip he took to Iran that are very interesting (today's article included this in the first paragraph: I stepped into the water closet, grateful to just have a piss. If I’d had more serious business there, it would’ve been a squat job with no hook for one’s jacket. Now, that would’ve been manly.... and a gossip column by Leah Garchik that is so amazingly pointless I'm surprised it's not a blog.
