The Winechuggers

Caught a live set from San Francisco's own, The Winechuggers, last night. Was seriously blown away. Reminded me at times of Arab Strap, with an eerie Americana feel at times... featuring lap steel slide guitar, keyboards, and the enjoyably slurred vocals of Bill Cameron. Cameron's between-song banter was incredibly hilarious(unlike every other band I've seen... less talkin', more rockin'), which I could not do justice to in print. This guy could do standup if he wanted to.

The band also played the Mesh Noise Pop Happy Hour in February, unfortunately I was not in town for that. They have an album coming out soon on Arena Rock Recordings.

Incidentally, coffee plus Advil Cold & Sinus equals a very bad idea.
