Lovemakers Poster

Mill Valley is hosting the Love Makers Sustainable Craft Fair this Tuesday from 2PM-8PM. Handcrafted goodness from Molly of 8MM Ideas, Ashley Rose Helvey, Green Dog Designs and Christina from Borrowed, Bought, Stolen make this more than worth the trip across the Golden Gate. In addition, there will be two screen printers on hand from Remade in America, so bring down your own t-shirt and let them do their magic. It all goes down during the Mill Valley Art Walk at 1 El Paseo.

More crafty from these fine folks will also be available:

Capsule, the biannual street fest focusing on local, independent designers is back in Hayes Valley on Sunday, October 14th (at and around the Hayes Valley Green on Hayes & Octavia). The event features hundreds of local designers selling clothes for women and men, accessories and other random art-y type things. I’ve come away from Capsule with a N8 Van Dyke drunk monkey t-shirt, some hipster baby clothes gifts, and a Lomo Fisheye camera. There will also be live music and the official Capsule Lounge at Marlena’s bar.

Capsule This Sunday

Friday, May 25th, 2007
May 27, 2007
11:00 amto6:00 pm

Capsule has been putting on excellent street fairs for the past several years, where I’ve picked up some cool gear (for cheap) from local designers and retailers, including a Nate Van Dyke bitter monkey t-shirt and a Lomo fisheye camera. They’ve got even more stuff for the ladies, lots of clothes and accessories. This year, Capsule is once again taking over Hayes Valley, around the Hayes Valley Green with 140 clothing and accessory designers, lifestyle product designers and graphic artists. And for the first time, there will be live music as part of the event. All that, plus right around the corner, RAG SF is having a sidewalk sale featuring even more local designers.
