Greetings From The Road Earthlings…..Tartufi on the Road, Part II

Tartufi is currently away on a national tour. Before they left, we asked them if they could check in periodically report. They kindly obliged.

Ok. Chicago?!?! WTF? That place is a GD gem! We played in a place called South Union Arts which is essentially an old church converted into a performance space / gallery. Pyrenees In Plains is a local band that we played with and have known for almost one half of one year and we love them almost more than our own moms. Tartufi LOVES Chi-town. We miss it bad.

I have one thing to say about Halloween in Madison. GERMAINE AND NATE are the best breakfast buddies EVER! We haven’t laughed that hard maybe ever but at least in the past nineteen years. Whew. One day I will tell the tale of taking a short cut through the Wild Safari Kingdom and getting one’s ass kicked by an ostrich, poo-ing in one’s pants, and knocking said bird out, to my children and grandchildren.

South Bend, Indiana is another diamond in the smooth. We played a tiny, smoky bar with The Pope of Yes and Splanchnic Ganglion and it was great. What an awesome community of folks there. The next day we went to a large greenhouse that is host to live shows as well and whadddya know????? Our old pal Ronald Macdonald was there!! We haven’t seem him in years! He looks good…considering….and he seems well…..considering…. That made our week. Thanks Ron, catch ya next time we go to a greenhouse and you are hosting a charity event inside in the middle of Indiana.

We are in the flow now….going strong and enjoying playing music everyday to new faces. We have met a lot of great people, a small handful of dickholes, and are able to visit our families and friends all around the country! Which is not to say that we don’t get lonely, dirty, sad, tired, drunk, or all hopped up on hummus, cheese, spinach, hot sauce, mustard, and tofupup sandwiches. [A winning combo - we eat two a day and that does us just fine] We do. We ARE humanoids after all.

More to come friendlings. Spread the word to your people across the country! Check our schedule at www.myspace.com/tartufi !! Wear your safety belt and zip your unner-runners!! There’s a cold wind a’blowin’!!!

Love,
Lynne and Brian
