Last night I went into the neighborhood video rental store Lost Weekend Video and I noticed they had new buttons for sale illustrated by local artist Maria Forde. I missed out on her “Actors I think are Good” buttons the last time (I really wanted the Harry Dean Stanton one), but there were now 10 new awesome designs. This time the buttons were “10 Movies I think are Good” depicting famous scenes from said movies.

I was so excited because there were ones that had scenes from A Knife in the Water (one of my favorite movies EVAR):

…and Scanners!

I bought the Scanners button because it allows me to convey my Pro-Cronenberg position to strangers (It’s now attached to my purse), but when I return my video I plan to get the Knife one as well as The Jerk:

Maria will be selling sticker packets at the 10th Annual “Post-Postcard Show” tonight at The Lab from 6-9PM.

You should also poke around on her website because there is a lot of fun artwork on there. her Marlon Brando Comic is especially awesome.
